Touted as the first program of its kind in Louisville, the Family Emergency Shelter provides individualized care and goal-setting with families facing homelessness. From basic necessities such as food and shelter, to case management and life skills workshops, the Family Emergency Shelter provides comprehensive services customized to meet the needs of each family. More than 70 families receive life changing support each year from this vital program and over 83% of those who enter this program exit to stable housing. Volunteers of America is proud to acknowledge an important funding partnership with Metro Louisville in the provision of these services to our community.
