Volunteers of America of Kentucky’s Transitional Living Program provides supportive housing and case management services in a safe home-like environment to homeless and runaway young women, ages 16-21, who are pregnant and or parenting. Each young woman learns to balance the responsibilities of parenting, work and their education. It is our goal to help these young women become self-sufficient by providing tutoring and counseling in financial literacy, nutrition and parenting skills while they complete their education. In fact, every young woman in the program is in school full-time and working full or part-time. All are encouraged to graduate from high-school and to pursue further education.
